PRINCIPLE REQUIREMENTS 

Summary of Responsibilities: 

In partnership with the High School Student Ministry Pastor, we will primarily develop a thriving junior high ministry and, secondarily, support the high school ministry.  Partner with the Music/Groups Pastor and the Student Pastor to develop the Student Ministry music culture.  Based on your ministry gifts, there will also be the opportunity to host, preach, and participate in weekend services to the degree that these actions support the overall mission of Eastwind.

Develop a thriving student ministry as defined by: 

  • Develop an emotional burden for the Eastwind mission to succeed 
  • Understand, commit to, and implement Orange Student Ministry Philosophy 
  • Build a volunteer team of leaders to increase your capacity to reach and support every student
  • Equip volunteers using ITAFERR model (Invite, Train, Affirm, Feedback, Evaluate, Reflect, Recognize) 
  • Lead a ministry that has the drive to experience numerical growth
  • Prioritize clear and consistent communication

  • Develop consistent programs and special events/retreats that inspire students to follow Jesus and grow and deepen their relationship with Him
  • Ensure students are included in the overall life of the church 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to local and global outreach 
  • Partner with the Student Ministry Pastor and Kidmission Pastor in forming a strategy for managing ministry group transitions
  • Manage Student Ministries' resources and spaces
