Worship Pastor | Wellford Baptist Church

At Wellford Baptist Church, we are passionate about Jesus and His gospel. Our steadfast pursuit is to make disciples of Christ who make disciples of Christ. To that end, we are looking for a worship pastor to join our team to facilitate spaces and opportunities for our congregation to encounter and worship God in a gospel-centered, multigenerational, and scripturally and musically rich environment that leans contemporary/modern.

• Oversee the worship ministry in a manner consistent with the vision, mission, doctrine, and values of Wellford Baptist Church
• Plan and lead weekly and special worship gatherings in collaboration with and under the direction of the Lead Pastor
• Facilitate worship experiences that emphasize congregational celebration, reflection, and participation
• Schedule musicians and volunteers and lead weekly rehearsals
• Recruit, train, and shepherd worship ministry staff and volunteers, including the Choir, Worship Team, Band, Tech Team, Ushers, and Connections Team
• Manage livestream and post-production of video for worship services
• Provide leadership and direction to the children’s choir and youth worship team
• Coordinate music and musicians for wedding and funeral services

• Accomplished in guitar or piano
• Competent in reading music and working with click tracks and in-ear monitors
• Skilled in communication, teaching, and software programs such as Planning Center Online and ProPresenter
• Joyfully relational with church members, volunteers, and staff

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred
• Strong theological and musical background
