We're seeking an experienced, passionate, and dynamic Associate Pastor to lead ministry areas at our Corbin location and help guide the direction of our network as a whole.

About Immanuel:

We're a multisite church with a bold vision: to grow leaders and plant healthy churches in collegiate towns across Kentucky and beyond. Our Corbin campus is at the forefront of this exciting mission as the broadcast campus.

Your Impact:

As an Associate Pastor, you'll be a part of the church’s executive team shaping culture and crafting strategy for our entire network. You’ll be in the room as our top-level leaders make decisions concerning the direction of our church. The Associate Pastor is also our Corbin campus's primary contact for Groups and Connections. You'll champion our vision, model an evangelistic culture, and lead staff and volunteer teams. Your role is crucial in developing future leaders to lead groups, disciple others, serve the church, and plant campuses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to set the direction of the church
  • Cultivate an evangelistic culture, actively engaging with all demographics in the local community
  • Participate and enhance weekend worship services
  • Supervise and mentor campus staff and volunteers
  • Preach compelling expository messages
  • Identify, build, and equip new ministry volunteers, teams, and leaders
  • Provide pastoral care to the Corbin Campus congregation

We're Looking For A Leader Who Is:

  • Adaptable to diverse situations
  • Doctrinally aligned with our church's beliefs

This is more than just a job – it's an opportunity to shape the future of Kentucky and impact lives for Christ. You'll be at the forefront of our efforts to grow leaders that plant healthy churches.

About Immanuel Baptist Church

Immanuel Baptist Church is radically committed to serving the purposes of God in our generation. We are passionate about reaching the lost, growing disciples, and doing life
together. There is no greater joy than serving the church. We exist to connect the Gospel to people, people to community, and community to the mission of Jesus.

Immanuel is a multisite church with three locations. Our Central location is located in Corbin, KY. We currently have campuses in Richmond and Williamsburg. We are
prayerfully launching our next campus in August of 2023. Our vision is to grow leaders to plant healthy churches in collegiate towns across Kentucky and beyond for the glory of God.

To offer a taste of what the staff culture is like at Immanuel, we've included our Staff Code below. These are principles that everyone on our team seeks to practice and model.

Immanuel's Staff Code

  1. Walk with Jesus: Ministry flows out of an abiding relationship with Jesus, so we make spending time with Jesus a first priority, and hold one another accountable.
  2. Work with passion: Ministry is a privilege many would want to do for free, so we work hard to honor and earn the right to be in our role.
  3. Others first: The team is more important than me; therefore, I put others first. We are here to serve, not to be served.
  4. Keep developing: Excellence brings God glory, so we desire to always be growing in our calling, moving forward even when excellence is not yet in reach. Don’t allow the church or position to outgrow you. If it does, be honest.
  5. People over programs: Our main role is to make disciples and servant leaders, so we spend consistent time with people in real life and give ministry away.
  6. We go after the one: Our hearts are broken for the one who is missing, so we are vigilant in our evangelism.
  7. Positive, fun, family: Life is short and ministry can be stressful, so we will play hard and laugh often. We are a family, not a leadership board.
