Lead Pastor - Greater Sacramento Area

The Lead Campus Pastor is responsible for the overall leadership of the campus; providing spiritual leadership, developing staff, and caring for the congregation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional communication skills, and a heart for nurturing and developing individuals within the church community.

Leadership:

• Lead every aspect of the campus steering it toward towards living out Bayside’s mission of Reach Wide, Teach Deep, and Unleashing Compassion
• Inspire and empower our leadership team to unleash their potential
• Ensure staffing, facilities, and programs are effectively aligned to meet the goals of pastoral care and discipleship occurring through small group and mid-week ministries

Staff Development:

• Recruit, mentor, train, and encourage staff and volunteers
• Foster a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence among our church team
• Celebrate wins, learn from challenges, and keep our team culture strong

Stewardship:

• Lead by example in stewarding our resources wisely and generously
• Encourage and empower our congregation to live lives of generosity and purpose
• Oversee the management of finances, facilities, and other church resources
• Ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity in all stewardship efforts

Congregation Care:

• Be a rock for our church family, offering care, support, and guidance in times of need
• Provide pastoral counseling, prayer, and emotional to individuals and families

Communication:

• Be one of the public faces for the campus by hosting services regularly, preaching occasionally
• Deliver messages that resonate with hearts and minds, rooted in scripture and love- make us laugh, cry, and think deeply
• Prepare and deliver engaging sermons for weekly services, special events, and other groups/gatherings
• Connect with people of all ages and backgrounds through your powerful preaching

Leadership Within Organization:

• All Senior Lead Campus Pastors collaborate with the Senior Leadership team to provide vision and direction for all campuses and the overall direction of Bayside Church
• Attend, and lead as asked, weekly staff chapel
• Assist in the planning and vision for Thrive Conferences (Leadership, Marriage, and Bible)

Mission Critical Responsibilities:

• Proactively communicate, support, and fulfill the mission, vision, core values, purposes, and goals of Bayside Church
• Teach and live out generosity by supporting the ministries of Bayside Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of gross income
• Maintain open and frequent communication with your supervisor, staff, and team
• Adhere to the Bayside Staff Vision Statement

Required Experience

• 5-7 years leadership as Senior, Executive or Campus Pastor of a church 750+ in weekly attendance

• Bachelors or Master's Degree in related fields
• Proven track history of growing a church/ministry

Time Commitment

• Full-time – 40 hours per week; Includes evenings and/or weekends
