Children’s Ministry Site Coordinator

In Deuteronomy 11:18-21 the Lord commands His people to, “Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.”

We believe we are called to help children look, live, and love more like Jesus. Trinity’s Children’s Ministry Site Coordinator is responsible for helping their site provide developmentally appropriate opportunities for children ages birth through 4th grade (and their parents) to know God and His plan for their lives.

You are:

  • Committed to constantly growing in your own walk with Jesus.
  • Actively living out the mission, vision and values of Trinity.
  • Filled with passion and joy for the hearts of students under the age of 10 and their adults.
  • An advocate for best practices and needs of students.
  • A strong leader with a positive attitude and ability to mentor and disciple families and volunteers.
  • A clear communicator and outstanding project manager with robust attention to detail and administrative skills.
  • A self-starter who thrives in all aspects of a team (building, leading, participating).
      • A lifelong learner who appreciates continuing education opportunities and ongoing mentorship.

You will:

  • Foster site attendance by connecting current and potential families to Trinity Children’s Ministries.
  • Collaborate with Trinity schools to help connect church and school.

    • Ensure clear, consistent, and timely scheduling and communication.
    • Create rhythms to regularly show appreciation to volunteers.
  • Be present at children’s programming (including Sunday mornings) to interact with families and volunteers.
  • Shepherd and maintain relationships with families to support and equip their role as the primary nurturer of their child(ren)’s faith development.
    • Identify key needs of families at your site and host events, seminars, or other training programs to help fill those needs.
  • Execute regular, clear, and timely communication with fellow staff and families.
  • Implement and oversee all safety and administrative procedures for KidStreet at your site to ensure a secure environment.
  • Effectively and efficiently utilize Planning Center tools to measure site performance on key metrics as determined by the SLT.
  • Implement program curriculum at your site.
  • Collaborate with the full staff team for key outreach events to develop and maintain a presence in the community.
  • Partner with Youth staff to prepare students and their adults for the launch into adolescence.
