About WBC: Our hope is in Jesus Christ and Him alone.
We are a multi-ethnic and multigenerational congregation of about 100 people located
in Woodbury, Minnesota, a suburb of the city of St. Paul. We believe what Christians
throughout the ages have believed, as stated in the Apostles’ Creed. We are Bible-
based, Christ-centered and Spirit-led. We are learning to love what Jesus loves, desire
what Jesus desires, and do the things Jesus would do if He was in our shoes. The Holy
Spirit inspires and teaches us to follow Jesus. We are actively engaged in church
events, mission and outreach. We are Baptist in polity and emphasis (baptism and
communion) but are ecumenical in spirit.

Overview: Woodbury Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated and visionary Senior Pastor to
shepherd its congregation. As a church committed to deepening our relationship with
God and serving our community, we seek a pastor with unwavering integrity, a servant’s
heart, and a genuine passion for discipleship. Our church staff consists of an Interim
Pastor, Office Manager, Interim Worship Leader, Caring Community Leader (nurse),
and Children and Youth Leader. We worship in a blended style that is led by worship
teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide spiritual leadership and guidance to the congregation, preaching and teaching
the Word of God clearly and relevantly, including discipling believers to grow in their
faith and live out the teachings of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.
2. Provide pastoral care and support to members of the congregation, including visiting the
sick, counseling individuals and families, celebrating life’s milestones, and leading by
example, demonstrating humility, compassion, and a commitment to serving others.
3. Foster an atmosphere of worship and praise, encouraging heartfelt engagement with
God through his words, music, and prayer.
4. Collaborate with church leadership to implement the church’s vision and lead the staff
and lay ministry leaders to develop strategic ministry growth and outreach plans.
5. Engage with the wider community, building relationships and seeking opportunities to
share the love of Christ with those outside the church walls.
Qualifications:
1. Demonstrates high integrity and emotional intelligence through aligned actions and
words.
2. Seminary degree and five years plus as a pastor with solid preaching experience.
3. Ordination or eligibility for ordination.
4. Deep understanding and knowledge of Scripture and committed to the core beliefs of
the Christian gospel.
5. Ability to lead a congregation effectively with an emphasis on discipleship and training
leaders.
