Looking for an opportunity to serve kids and families? We need a high energy well organized person who is able to build and lead teams. You will be a vital member of a quality staff leadership team responsible for children's ministry and connections church wide.  

Children’s Ministry:

Common Ground Church is seeking an energetic leader of leaders that loves kids and families and is able to organize and lead a kids ministry that harnesses the power of a team of amazing volunteers to express that love and enthusiasm at our church. A gift for administration and an understanding of Planning Center is essential to fulfill this role, which will also include a church wide responsibility for utilizing those gifts and tools to keep the overall ministry of Common Ground organized and efficient.

Responsibilities

- Pray for volunteers and children

- Oversee Team Leaders

- Sunday morning kids curriculum

- Find ways to encourage parental involvement in their kids spiritual life through the week.

- Calendar Planning - Away Camp, In House Camp (VBS? Sport’s Camp?), Children’s Ministry

Opportunities? (Parent Training, Serving in Community?, Kids/Volunteers Lead/Celebrated in

Big Church?)

- Plan/Coordinate ongoing Children’s Ministry training and meetings (one evening or lunch after church every other month)

- Communication between staff and Children’s Ministry

- Keep Track of Volunteer Packets

- Volunteer Nametags

- Budget monitoring/receipts

- Snacks

- Monthly Schedule for Elementary

- create and implement strategies to reach and keep new families. 

Connections:

We need someone who is passionate about meeting new people and helping them find real connection within the church.  Common Ground Church does not have many programs or events so when we do, they are important. Outside of the Sunday worship service we focus primarily on home groups. You will be responsible for helping connect people into these groups. The groups follow the school schedule taking summer and most of December off. As each semester begins we work hard to connect people into groups. You will oversee this on ramping. 

- Facilitate connecting people into home groups. 

- Manage planning center to track and serve our people. 

- Manage sign ups for monthly new person meetings after both services. 

- Manage sign ups for membership classes 3 times a year. 

- Manage other connection events such as volunteer appreciation, church BBQ, and others. 

            Common Ground is a non-denominational church located in Carson City, Nevada. The church was planted in 2017 with the purpose of reaching people not currently connected to a local church. We are not a very traditional church. We do not have a lot of programs. We focus on groups, and our kids and youth ministries. We have a quality location but we do not have office space. The staff meets together on Tuesdays, other than that we work from home with plenty of other meetings through the week as needed. This means that the person who fills this position must be an ambitious self starter who knows how to get things done without constant supervision. We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader who enjoys dreaming and trying new things and is able to lead people to get things done.
