Job Description:

The Next Gen Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing various administrative tasks, coordination, and support functions for the Next Gen Team and their families. The Next Gen Administrative Assistant will be responsible for diverse duties requiring confidentiality, initiative, and sound decision-making and for day-to-day coordination with members, staff, and the community. Oversee programming that reaches families, teaches God’s word to children, and demonstrates discipleship for parents.

 

Qualifications:

  • The individual must have a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Proven work experience in providing administrative support, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Publisher, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, multitasking, time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and customer service-friendly attitude
  • High school diploma; college degree preferred but not required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Next Gen Team
  • Provide calendaring support for Children’s Ministry
  • Administrative support for MOPs
  • Responsible for Realm support for the Children’s Ministry
  • Coordinates and schedules meetings and other periodic events and activities as directed
  • Collaborate with other staff and program leaders concerning activities in ministry areas where youth and children are involved
  • Provides logistical support for events and camps for the Children’s Ministry
  • Provides logistical support for DNow and camp for Youth Ministry
  • Assists volunteer leaders responsible for children’s ministry
  • Provides administrative support for internal and external communications, reminders of information and activities (including emails, incoming and outgoing mail, and webpages associated with the ministries)
  • Receives calls and greets visitors for the Next Gen team
  • Maintains records for Children’s Ministry
  • Places orders for materials and supplies as needed for Children’s Ministry
  • Assist with ordering materials and provide support for large church events as needed
  • Performs research and other duties as assigned.
  • Administrative support for VBS, including groups & volunteers.
  • Supervise personnel in the Children’s Ministry
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Minister to Children
  • Coordinate children’s ministry intern logistics of onboarding and their daily schedules
  • Responsible for communication logistics for the Children’s Ministry
  • Document and maintain processes/procedures/ special events for children’s ministry

Reports to:

The Next Gen Administrative Assistant reports to the Minister to Children with input from the Youth Pastor and will be appraised accordingly.

 

Category:

This position is part-time (20-24 hours) hourly; up to 21 hours for Children’s Ministry and 3 hours for Youth Ministry per week.
