We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Community Engagement Coordinator to develop and implement community outreach programs and initiatives.

 

The role includes building strong relationships with community members and stakeholders, organizing events, and coordinating volunteers.

 

The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Additionally this person has an awareness of local community issues as well as a strong reputation and existing network in northern Delaware. 

 

The Community Engagement Coordinator will work towards strengthening our brand and maintaining a positive image within the community. The person in this position will enhance strategic connections with businesses, churches, clubs and organizations to advance the mission of Good Neighbors.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external community partners, to organize and implement community engagement events and initiatives
  • Coordinate with volunteers and community service providers
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community members and stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on community issues and feedback
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and campaigns to promote community engagement
  • Partner with our marketing team to leverage social media platforms to engage with the community

 

Qualifications

  • A vibrant Christian faith and active membership in a local church
  • Proven experience as a Community Engagement Coordinator or relevant work in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Understanding of community issues and dedication to addressing them
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

 

Key Objectives

  • Double our number of strategic partnerships with local volunteer groups (churches, community clubs, businesses, etc)
  • In participation with our advancement team, contribute to a 10-15% increase in giving annually

 

Additional Information

  • Job Title: Community Engagement Coordinator
  • Employment Type: Part Time preferred (25+ hrs/week). Open to Full Time for the right candidate.
  • Work Environment: While an office is available, the expectation is that this person will be out in the community most of the time, meeting and connecting with people.
  • Reporting Structure: Reports to the Advancement Director
  • Compensation: Part-time role would begin at $25/hr with the opportunity for growth as responsibilities increase. Full-time salary would be based upon candidate experience and qualifications.
