As a full-time member of our ministry team, the Media Director oversees 30-40 A/V volunteers to help tell the Story of God as it intersects with the congregation. This includes, but is not limited to, shooting and producing compelling videos, directing and
producing Sunday morning worship assemblies on campus and online, and coordinating A/V and digital media elements for all GCR events. He/She is responsible for the production of video and photographic elements used at GCR and for other internal and external
communications channels of the church. The Media Director is also responsible for recruiting, training, and leading the volunteer media teams for the church.
Detailed Description:
Sunday Morning Services
- Ensure that all technology is in working order
- Import and upload worship slides, sermon slides and backgrounds
- Prepare backend of livestream
- Direct multimedia production for in-house and livestream worship; be present to direct and assist during services, practices, and rehearsals
- Edit sermon and post to internet and church website
- Produce sermon graphics, announcement slides, and bumper videos as needed
- Search for inspiring videos relevant to Sunday themes using subscription services
- Build and test graphics and lighting programs for all services
- Serve on Creative Team, under the direction of the Worship Minister, to improve the Sunday experience
Video and Photography
- Film and edit GCR Family Update videos
- Responsible for video and photographs at all congregational events; edit for use on church website, GCR app, social media, and Sunday mornings
- Film and produce Introduction/Welcome video for Sunday mornings regularly
- Video production in the areas of ministry highlights, mission partners, testimonies, and other church communications
- Ensure all videos and photographs are edited, organized, and available to the ministry team
Media Team
- Recruit, train, and encourage an adequate base of volunteers
- Schedule volunteers
- Responsible for running multimedia technology for weddings and funerals
- Responsible for multimedia needs for all groups meeting on the GCR campus
- Develop and maintain an effective video production studio
- Assist in the building of stage design for sermon series and special services
- Update and maintain Media Operations Manual

Education, Training, and Experience
- Two years experience preferred in the following areas:
- Video production and editing
- Live production video, audio and lighting
