Worship Director
Position Description

General Description: Work with Lead Pastor and core team to plan, execute and develop weekend worship experiences, with a focus on identifying and developing leaders and worship team members.

Additional Qualifications:
- Abnormally high work ethic (an executor who makes the right things happen through empowering others on a regular basis)
- Healthy relationships with Tea and leaders
- A demonstrable calling to ministry
- Proficiency in vocals and guitar and/or keys
- Ability to lead a worship experience with a team
- Ability to provide coaching that elevates the performance of your team
- Ability to identify, develop, and empower leaders
Essential Functions:
Pre-Launch
- Serve on Location Launch Team, assisting Lead Pastor and other leaders with developing and mobilizing location launch team and casting vision around location launch
- Gain familiarity with launch team members, establishing and building key relationships.
- Provide coaching and development to location worship staff and leaders; attend regular core team environments to develop leaders and team members and prepare for launch.
- Speak into preparation of the launch.
Post-Launch
- Works with Core Team to assist in planning and implementation of set lists
- Oversee recruiting process for Worship Team, identifying, developing, and on-ramping new vocalists and musicians for team
- Utilizes Planning Center to schedule worship team
- Additional duties as assigned
General Responsibilities:
- Participate in weekly Team meetings, weekly Programming meetings,.
- Lead worship each weekend
- Gather on the weekend on the front row, lead a Rise Group at least two out of three semesters, and serve in some way outside of essential functions
- Champion gather, connect, and serve
Position Type: Part-Time
Hours: 15-20 hours/week including with Sunday daytime gatherings
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Oversees: Team & Leaders
Physical requirements: Lifting, pulling, bending, carrying and pushing as needed to set up activities and events
