The ministry purpose of the Worship Director is to provide godly leadership in developing,
implementing, administrating and shepherding a ministry of blended worship, which will honor God and
edify the church, through excellence in praise and worship in the regular and special gatherings of the
congregation.

Qualifications
- A clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.
- Maintains a dynamic, consistent and personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is characterized in every aspect of life and ministry by godliness, integrity and self-control.
- Agreement with and commitment to the Confession of Faith, Mission, Vision and Values statements of the church.
- Dedication to the church community through membership, regular attendance, giving and participation in the body life of the church.
- Commitment to moral purity and, if married, to a healthy relationship with his wife and family.
- Personal maturity, spiritual gifts, and breadth of experience to serve in a teaching and mentoring role with the worship team.
- Understanding and ability to lead the congregation in worship by integrating music, media and the arts in relevant and God-honoring ways.
- A high level of musical background or training.
- Proficient in leading with an instrument, preferably guitar or piano.
- Able to read and write musical arrangements.
- Preferred experience as a Worship Director in a church setting. Related experience or similar work in the field of music will be considered in evaluating total experience.
- Strong work ethic and ability to develop and work on a team toward specific goals in a mutually supportive and edifying manner.
- Possess a teachable and responsive heart that is always seeking to develop.
Areas of Responsibility
- Work closely with and under the direct supervision of the Senior Pastor to plan, prepare, conduct and evaluate the weekly and other worship services of the church.
- Prepare for the worship and rehearsals both musically and personally through prayer and the thoughtful selection and meaningful presentation of theologically sound worship music for our services.
- Build the necessary teams to carry out the worship services of the church.
- Sustain a strong volunteer culture, recruiting, developing and scheduling volunteers as needed.
- Coordinate and supervise all weekly and special worship activities and services, working closely with the Audio/Video Team Leader and staff and volunteers to plan, prepare and facilitate all aspects of rehearsals and worship.
- Research current trends and improvements in church music methods and cast visionary ideas to the Senior Pastor.
- Encourage the congregation to actively participate in the worship of the church through song.
- Enlist the members of the congregation to use their gifts and abilities to provide special music for the worship times, whether as instrumentalists, vocalists or as members of an ensemble.
- Develop and mentor emerging worship leaders, vocalists and instrumentalists.
- Serve as a resource support and equip other ministries within the church, looking for ways to integrate music, media and personnel to support needs as they arise.
- Supervise the use of sets, props, lighting, media and other presentation elements for the service to create an environment conducive to worship.
- Prepare and oversee an annual ministry plan and budget for the worship ministry of the church.
Salary
- The Worship Director position is a per hour position at $20/hour.
- We anticipate that the job responsibilities will require between 12 and 18 hours per week, for a maximum annual salary of $18,720, paid bi-weekly (based on 18 hours per week @ $20.00 hour).
