ABOUT THE CHURCH
The First Congregational Church of Thomaston (organized in 1837) is a historic, multi-generational New England congregation serving Christ in the northwest corner of Connecticut. Senior Pastor Marcus Lee has faithfully served the congregation for the past eight years. The Church now looks to enter a new season of ministry by adding an Associate Pastor or Family Life Pastor to their ministry team. The new Associate Pastor/Family Life Pastor will help the congregation live into its vision of seeing people transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He or she will help the congregation live out its identity as a family of believers in Jesus Christ, called to joyfully encourage one another through worship, study, and prayer, and to be Christ’s ambassadors to Thomaston and beyond. First Congregational Church, Thomaston is a member of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (CCCC or 4Cs). CCCC is a theologically conservative denomination believing strongly in the autonomy of the local church under the headship of Christ. For more information about the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference, visit the CCCC website.
