The communications director will create, organize, plan, and implement effective communications strategies for Cornerstone. The director will work with ministry leaders to coordinate each ministries communication with all audiences.
Duties
- Unify all church communications.
- Develop communications plan with all church ministries.
- The What, When, Where and How for all ministries.
- Create graphics for all communications.
- Maintain church website and social media sites.
- Stay relevant and up to date for all online sites.
- Acquire and maintain all relevant licensing and permissions for church media endeavors.
- Manage and maintain church brand and identity.
- Oversee LiveStream and all video and photography content.
- Create videos / photos of life change events.
- Maintain online sermon audio via Buzzsprout.
Leadership
- Recruit, train, oversee and encourage all volunteers in communications ministry.
- Regular weekly check-ins and emails to leaders.
- Regular leader’s meetings.
- Annual training for all volunteers.
Miscellaneous
- Regularly attend weekly staff meetings.
- Make announcements and “be the face” of Cornerstone’s communications ministry.
Qualifications:
- A baptized believer and a growing walk with the Lord.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
- 2+ years in related communications field.
- Proficient in all social media outlets used by church (Facebook, Instagram).
- Proficient in Canva, Adobe, Propresenter, and other media tools.
