As we embark on this exciting journey of seeking after God’s kingdom here in Olathe as it is in heaven, we are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as the Part-Time Ministry Coordinator. This position offers an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the ministries, events, and culture of Trinity Fellowship for the flourishing of our neighbors and the glory of Christ.
Ministry Support: Provide ongoing support and encouragement to various serve teams within the church, including but not limited to outreach, kids, students, hospitality, and facilities. Resource and develop serve team leaders, ensuring they are equipped for effective service. Invite and train new serve team members.
Event Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with serve team leaders to help plan and execute a variety of events, including worship services, outreach programs, and community-building activities. Manage logistics, timelines, and resources for successful event execution. Foster an atmosphere of creativity and innovation in event planning.
Team Collaboration: Facilitate regular communication among serve teams to ensure activities are coordinated and aligned with the church vision and strategy.. Encourage a collaborative and supportive culture among team members. Work closely with the church leadership to align ministries with the overall mission and vision of the church.
Volunteer Engagement: Invite congregants to join our serve team and provide ongoing training and support to leaders. Foster a sense of community and belonging among serve team members, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
Sunday Involvement: Given the nature of our work as a church, Sunday is considered a work day at Trinity Fellowship. It is the expectation that the person in this position will work on Sunday and attend services with us.
Other: All other duties as assigned
Educational Background: Associates degree or higher is preferred but not required.
Experience: Previous experience in ministry leadership or related roles. Proven experience in planning and coordinating events. Previous experience volunteering and leading teams of volunteers.
Essential Functions: Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to inspire and motivate teams. Ability to manage and maintain healthy relationships with volunteers, staff, and congregation members. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Regular and reliable attendance and availability.
Commitment: A personal and growing faith in Jesus. A commitment to the values and beliefs of Trinity Fellowship as well as the distinctives of our denomination, the Evangelical Covenant Church. A commitment to being an active part of Trinity Fellowship. Willingness to work evenings and Sundays as needed. A plan for weekly resting and practicing sabbath.
$20 per hour. Hours must be recorded by the employee.
Employment by Trinity Fellowship is at-will and may be terminated at any time for any reason or no reason. This position and employee may be subject to periodic re-evaluation to determine whether the position and/or employee will continue on for Trinity Fellowship.
