Kids Ministry Lead

About The Role: We are seeking a full-time Kid’s Ministry Lead who is passionate about leading a team of staff and volunteers in reaching children and families for Jesus. Shepherding the team is a high priority while still overseeing programming, budget, curriculum, discipleship, and special events (both children and family events). Creating vision and fun, safe environments in a family friendly culture, recruiting and retaining strong volunteers, innovating ideas that help the overall Win of equipping and empowering the Kid’s Ministry with a vision that is inspiring and simple to implement, while living a Christ-filled life in and outside of the church walls.

The Kid’s Ministry Pastor/Director’s responsibilities will include:

• Execution of ministry Vision, Strategy, and Values for the Chapel Kid’s Ministry
• Plan and administer the Kid Min annual budget (with monthly documentation)
• Execute Faith @ Home with Family Life team on second Wednesday night of each month
• Value a team approach to ministry by building a Leadership Team, including volunteers
• Responsible to make sure that Kid Min venues are properly staffed and ready at least 30 minutes before start time and people are present, welcoming students into an engaging environment
• Oversee various aspects of programming including, but not limited to, weekly gatherings, camps, retreats, service projects, and special acitivies (like FCA basketball and other sport ministries)
• Communicate effectively and early with all necessary parties.
• Work with the Family Life team to partner with parents, and plan/lead Family Life events
• Spend time vetting all children’s curriculum with the Kid Min staff
• Collaborating with the LoveWorks (special needs) director and Family Life Team
• Spend time building staff relationships and attend weekly staff prayer and ministry meetings
• Available at Weekend Services (Attend one in person each Sunday, with exceptions), co-lead preteen ministry with Family Life Pastor on Sunday nights
• Other responsibilities determined by giftedness.
