Redemption City Church has partnered with the Aaron Hur Group in the search for their new Executive Pastor. This is a new role for the church due to it's recent surge of growth. 

The CHURCH:

How it all started...

In 2018, Parkview Church in Palm Coast had a vision to plant a church off LPGA Blvd. With all the rapid expansion and growth in the area, God made it very clear where the church should start: Champion Elementary School. In April 2018, Redemption City Church launched its first monthly preview service and held one per month for five months. On September 9, 2018, the church officially launched into weekly service. With just 60 core team members, God began to do a great work that continues to expand today!

Where we are now...

In August 2022, our sending church in Palm Coast launched us fully to be an autonomous church. On Easter 2024, we began holding three services every Sunday morning to give more opportunities to reach the growing community around us. Nearly every week we meet new guests and help connect those who are a part of God’s mission of life change in Jesus.

Where we are headed...

Over the past 18 months, we have experienced God doing some incredible things in our church. We have seen tremendous growth both numerically and spiritually. We have seen our attendance double, many people making the decision to follow Jesus, and 50+ people being baptized. We know He has only just started! It is an exciting season at Redemption City and we truly desire to see the Gospel shared and lives transformed.

Due to the growth, we are currently in a capital campaign to build on one of the busiest highways through the Daytona LPGA community. The Legacy Vision Initiative is a two-year commitment to raise a total of $3.3 million (including our regular annual budget). This vision is greater than any one person and will require us all to follow God by faith.As our community grows, we plan to grow and can’t wait to see what God has in store for our community next!

The CANDIDATE

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Executive Pastor role:

The Executive Pastor will serve in the “second chair” in this role and will be responsible for the overall implementation of the vision of the church and the development of the staff and ministry leaders. The role will also be responsible for the church's administrative, financial, operational/facilities, legal, risk management, and human resources departments and ministry development. This includes the development of ministry action plans, financial budgeting, operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to expand the church’s assets and report accurate financial results. This position also is the point for capital campaigns and building/expansion projects. This position sits on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

The Executive Pastor is to oversee the development and implementation of the church’s major ministry expansion programs including a capital campaign and donor development. The Executive Pastor must be a strategically gifted 2nd chair leader, strong relationally, skilled in communication, with an extensive background in ministry leadership and fostering a healthy team culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Management

  • Providing leadership and guidance to the church staff and ministry teams.
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans and goals in collaboration with the senior pastor and church leadership.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the church, including facilities management, technology, and administrative functions.
  • Managing and supervising staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Budgeting and financial management to ensure the financial health and stewardship of the church.

Spiritual Guidance and Pastoral Care

  • Assisting the senior pastor in sermon preparation, teaching, and providing spiritual guidance to the congregation. (Not required)
  • Supporting and overseeing campus ministries.
  • Facilitating adult discipleship programs, Starting Point, and leadership development initiatives within the church.

Relationship with Senior Pastor and Church Leadership

  • Collaborating closely with the senior pastor in managing the church’s vision and the implementation of the church’s mission and values.
  • Building a strong partnership with the senior pastor and fostering effective communication and teamwork.
  • Participating in elder/board meetings and providing input in decision-making processes.
  • Assisting in the recruitment and training of staff.
  • Community Engagement and Outreach
  • Developing and implementing church strategic initiatives to impact and serve the congregation.
  • Representing the church in community events and fostering positive relationships with community leaders.

  • Understanding of the church’s mission, vision, and core values.
  • Ability to apply theological principles to practical ministry situations.

Organizational and Administrative Proficiency

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Familiarity with administrative tools and systems to streamline operations.

Experience in Team Building and Conflict Resolution

  • Ability to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and mediation to address interpersonal or ministry-related conflicts.
  • Experience in developing and nurturing a strong volunteer culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to these skills, certain qualifications are desired for the position of our Executive Pastor, which may include:

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, or a related field is typically required.
  • Prefer a master’s degree in a relevant discipline.

Ministry Experience

  • Previous experience in church leadership, pastoral ministry, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing staff, leading teams, and overseeing church operations is preferred.

Personal Character

  • Strong personal integrity and a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles.
  • A servant-hearted approach to ministry and a genuine love for people.
