Richland Lutheran Church is a congregation of Christ followers making disciples who worship, grow, serve, and steward. Responsibilities include:
- Preside at worship and administer the sacraments
- Preach God’s Word (generally once a month)
- Conduct special services as needed – weddings, funerals, memorial services
- Teach Bible classes
- Make pastoral visits to sick, shut-in, hospitalized, and bereaved in coordination with Visitation Ministry Team and Lead Pastor
- Serve and support where needed on Ministry Areal Leadership Team (MALTs)
- Meet weekly with a Pastoral Peace Team for support and encouragement
- Ensure annual goals in the ministry plan are accomplished within established time frames and budgets
- Recruit, train, lead and oversee ministry team participants to implement ministry-related tasks
- Attend and participate in required meetings
- Provide required written reports
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Identifiable call, gifts, abilities and surrender into pastoral ministry
- Working toward or eligible for certified ordination in Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC)
- Bachelor’s degree and working toward or have completed a Master of Divinity degree
- Proficient use of computers and software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to details
- Excellent command of the English language in written and oral form
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to adhere to Richland Lutheran Church standards of conduct
- Ability to maintain confidentiality except in circumstances where doing so violates legal requirements or clergy codes of ethics
- Possess or ability to obtain a valid Washington State drivers’ license and proof of insurance
- Able to lift 40 pounds unaided and move objects 40 feet
- Must pass a background check

Salary: $59,365 - $90,618 annually (includes housing allowance)
