Purpose and Role
- The Student Pastor is responsible for creating, managing, and executing all aspects of Turning Point Church’s middle and high school student ministry with the goal of establishing a discipleship model to equip students to become deeper in their faith.
- This includes :
- Relationship building with students and parents through trust, consistency, and regularly timed communication.
- The Student Pastor may facilitate student gatherings and events, as well as outreach to local schools and organizations.
- Someone to establish the student ministry with the mindset of identifying and utilizing student leaders, attracting new families, and creating a long-lasting ministry model.
- Creating and maintaining a positive student ministry culture that coincides with the vision of Turning Point Church.
Decision Rights – First 90 Days
- Within the allocated budget, this role may make decisions related to Student ministry execution working with the Sr. Pastor.
Experience and Knowledge Preferred
- Patience, authentic listening, contributes to a collaborative culture.
- Consistent and vibrant walk with Jesus Christ.
- Be or become a member of Turning Point Church.
- Excellent and effective communication, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Strong, confident, and energetic public speaking skills.
- Computer & Social skills needed to contribute to the church office environment.
Requirements and Attributes
- Full buy-in to the vision of Turning Point Church and faithfully supporting in effort, attitude, and through the giving of time, talents, and tithes.
- Positive, life-giving attitude. Heart of a servant. Loyal to His call.
- Demonstrates a visible burden and desire to see students become deeper in their faith and grow in their relationship with Christ.
- Highly motivated, multi-task individual comfortably working without constant supervision.
- Attends Sunday Morning Dream Team Prayer Meeting at 9:50 am.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervises student ministry leaders as needed.
