PURPOSE

Job Purpose:

To envision, develop, and execute a holistic children’s (Nursery - 5th

grade) ministry relating to the purpose of FBCM.

FBCM Purpose:

FBCM exists to spread a passion for the supremacy of God

in everything for the joy of everyone everywhere through Jesus Christ.

 

CHURCH TASKS

 

Transformation

Model for other believers the life of a disciple of Christ through personal growth and holiness, tithing and sound stewardship, biblical relationships and moral and ethical conduct.


Community

Develop intentional relationships such that you are living well in biblical community. Possess a servant leader and mentoring attitude, modeled through discipleship.

Ministry

  Enlist, equip and inspire members/attenders to discover their spiritual   
  gifts and mobilize them into consistent essential ministries.

Worship

  Actively participate in collective responsibilities so that FBCM offers  
  meaningful, spirit-filled worship experiences.

Outreach

Model missional living and engagement through intentional and personal participation both globally and in Berkeley County.

 
   

 

Principle Responsibilities

  • Select and evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum for Preschool and Children
  • Schedule and coordinate nursery care for the
  • Develop strategic and comprehensive outreach efforts to the children and parents in the
  • Oversee regular follow-up to families with
  • Provide age-appropriate international missions education and
  • Execute and regularly monitor an effective disciple-making ministry strategy for
  • Enlist, train, and empower volunteer
  • Regularly monitor and adjust as needed all safety and security measures such as background checks, check in processes, etc.
  • Oversee the digital and multimedia areas of the Children’s
  • Provide opportunities for children to learn age-appropriate worship, serve the Kingdom of God, and demonstrate worship of God (e.g. leading motions, singing, camps, etc)

 

  • Provide counseling, small group classes, one-­-on-­-one meetings to walk through salvation and baptism as needed with children.

 

Team Lead elements:

  • Igniter of vision and direction for specified ministry area
  • Coordinator (with Senior Pastor) for strategy development and execution
  • Catalyst for identification, recruiting, and hiring of his/her new team members
  • Cultivates positive team morale
  • Fosters teamwork between ministries, with organization-wide perspective

 

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Make regular strategic contact with other ministry
  • Provide guidance to the children’s ministry leadership as they serve in their respective
  • Actively participate in weekly Staff
  • Assist in other strategic roles in the church as
  • Plan and oversee the Children’s sections of the
  • Serve on rotation as On-Call Staff-
  • Other obligations as assigned by Senior

  • Solid commitment to Jesus Christ and His church; a growing knowledge and profession of the Christian faith
