Job Title: Executive Operations Director

 

Responsible to: Lead Pastor

 

Scope of Position: The Executive Operations Director provides leadership, in partnership with the Lead Pastor, to ensure the most effective ministry possible in alignment with the mission, vision, core values, and goals of Life Stream Church. The Executive Operations Director has primary responsibility for the daily management of the church, including ultimate responsibility and oversight as Chief of Staff. He or she is responsible for the implementation of the church’s strategic plan and shepherding the staff. 

 

Job Type: Full-time, salaried position

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Accountable for the successful creation and implementation of the strategic plan of the church, along with Lead Pastor
  • Develop and maintain the organizational structure, systems and processes needed for current and future stages of growth
  • Develop staff and ministry leaders by providing support, supervision and coaching
  • Directly lead the following staff: Executive Assistant to Lead Pastor and Executive Operations Director, Next Generation Pastor, Communications Director, Connections and Small Groups Director, Front Office Admin Support, Finance Coordinator, Events and Facilities Coordinator, Worship and Technology Pastor
  • Oversees and ensures there is an active finance team that provides counsel regarding finances, investments and capital expenditures
  • Oversee the annual Ministry Planning Process and manage revenue projections and expenditures in collaboration with the Finance Coordinator
  • Oversee the development of yearly operation budget in cooperation with Lead Pastor and Lead Staff
  • Provide leadership to the staff
  • Mentor and shepherd the staff in matters of personal development and maintain a comprehensive training and development plan
  • Serve in an advisory role on the Local Board of Elders and ensure the church operates within the guiding principles

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, Masters level education preferred
  • 5 years experience in related field
  • Experience in project, resource and event management. Demonstrates the ability to interact with a variety of work styles and to delegate work assignments fairly and efficiently
  • Minimum year ministry experience preferred
  • Ability to listen attentively and communicate with empathy
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Warm, friendly, confident, self motivated, and results oriented.
  • Spiritual gifts preferred: Leadership, Administration, Wisdom, Discernment
  • Believes in and lives out the Life Stream Mission to Live and Tell the Story of God
