Purpose: To empower a team that creates and executes a comprehensive ministry plan for youth (7-12th grade) that is congruent with the mission, vision and values of Grace Church.

Overview of Work on Staff
- Work with other staff and church leaders to design and implement a comprehensive and balanced strategy of youth ministry
- Communicate on a regular basis (to be agreed upon) with the pastors
- Participate in weekly staff meetings
- Work with Discipleship Team for shared vision, ministry transitions and shared resourcing
- Collaborate with the leadership of the church as available for whole church ministry (i.e. serving as worship host, helping plan events, etc.)
Specific Youth Duties
- Give vision and planning for the entire youth ministry (grades 7-12), regular programming (currently on Sundays/Wednesdays) and strategic events
- Plan and lead special events throughout the year such as retreats, camps, mission trips, local mission opportunities, activities for fun and adventure, concerts, leadership training, etc.
- Set and oversee content for all youth ministry opportunities
- Ensure a quality Confirmation class
- Maintain communication about ministry events to all students and families
- Work on building relationships with students and outreach to new students
- Direct a team of volunteers in providing relational ministry that enables youth to be led in spiritual growth, worship experiences, group building through fun and fellowship, and outlets for engaging in service to others and ministry in the church
- Make yourself available to your volunteer team and to youth in a variety of ways through lunches, attendance at extracurricular activities, visitation, times of crisis, etc.
Housing through a parsonage (paid with paid utilities) is available. Account reimbursement and computer also provided.
