About Starpoint:

Starpoint Church is a growing church that averages over 1300 in person each weekend. We are located in the Capital Region of upstate New York. We are 2.5 hours from New York City and 2.5 hours from Montreal. Right in our backyard are the beautiful Adirondack Mountains.

Albany, New York is consistently rated as one of the most post-Christian and least Bible minded cities in America by Barna. The ideal candidate would possess an understanding of ministering in a highly unchurched area and a broad ministry understanding.

As a church we have a passion to “Share & Show” the love of Jesus with every single person in the Capital Region.

We are looking for an XP who will help us take our ministries and staff to the next level. We have a strong and healthy team who are excited about ministry and the church’s future.

We are currently on a strong upward growth curve that requires expansion of every area of ministry. It’s an exciting time to be part of what God is doing in upstate New York!

You would be responsible primarily for leading our staff, ministries, and some operational oversite. You would put practical feet to the senior pastor’s vision. You would be the implementor for the vision God places on our Pastor’s heart. You must be called to and excited about the #2 position.

You would be responsible for…

• Day to day management of the staff and ministries
• Helping staff set quarterly goals for their ministry areas
• Managing staff HR
• Staff development
• Ensuring staff are holding bi-yearly trainings for each ministry
• Management and coordination of the church calendar
• Ensuring staff are holding bi-yearly trainings for each ministry
• Ensuring systems are updating, creating, documented, & functioning properly
• Creating policies
• Oversee facility maintenance, upkeep, repair, rental, and long-range planning for equipment replacement

The Ideal Candidate would possess…

• At least 5 year’s experience leading staff & team
• Master’s Degree
• Variety of ministry background and experience
• Systems thinker
• Strong written and administrative skills

• Full time salaried position
