About the Church:
Arlington Assembly is a vibrant, modern, multi-generational church in the scenic Pacific Northwest, one hour north of Seattle. We believe children are the future and value investing in the next generation at church and in our community. In September of 2019 a Kids & Teens Center was completed to provide a greater environment for them to discover God and grow in their relationship with Him. We are a church who's focus is strength and health. We believe as a result, growth will naturally follow. God is doing a great work at Arlington Assembly and we believe the best is yet to come!
Primary Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of Adventure Kids (ages 0-5th grade).
• Develop and prepare curriculum for all age groups including Bible lessons, worship, crafts, games, and snack.
• Ensure all classrooms are fully set up, staffed, and resourced throughout all services and events.
• Use Planning Center to schedule and communicate with volunteers in a timely and consistent manner.
• Train, equip, and recruit volunteers to assist in all areas of kids ministry.
• Maintain clean, safe, inviting classrooms.
• Manage inventory of supplies as needed, staying within allotted budget(s).
• Administer check-in/check-out procedures via kiosks.
• Ensure volunteers are following safety and security measures.
• Be prepared strategically and logistically for emergency, illness, injury, or security incident which may occur.
• Equip parents and families with at-home discipleship resources that complement weekly curriculum.
• Provide ongoing training to leaders and volunteers, allowing opportunities for growth and advancement within the leadership structure of the department.
• Responsibly manage department budget.
• Additional staff responsibilities include, but are not limited to, weekly meetings, occasional office duties, and other tasks as needed for the daily operations of the church.
• Organize and oversee annual seasonal events related to children's ministry. (i.e - Fall Harvest Festival and Community Easter Egg Hunt)
• Network with local elementary schools.
Qualifications:
• Be a Christ-follower with spiritual maturity, able to be in leadership over people of all ages and stages.
• A calling to full-time ministry. A qualified individual would feel called to children's ministry.
• Spirit-filled. As a Pentecostal church, we believe the Holy Spirit empowers and fully equips for ministry.
• Ministry credentials with Assemblies of God (prefered, or in process).
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (or in process).
• Thorough understanding of child development with the ability to develop age-appropriate programs for each age group.
• The ability to disciple/correct children appropriately, as needed, within the bounds of predetermined policies and procedures.
• The ability to communicate with and build relationships with parents.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Ability to work within the leadership structure of the church.
**The ideal candidate will be passionate about children's ministry, experienced in working with special needs children and be a team player!
COMPENSATION:
This position is a full-time, salaried position. The compensation will be consistent within the organization, comparative with equivalent positions in similar-sized
congregations. Base salary range for this position is $45-60K; starting salary is determined on education, experience, credentials and skill level. Up to three weeks
PTO for vacation and sick leave. Relocation assistance available. Seasonal bonuses available.
