 The Niceville Campus is seeking a full-time Worship Minister who believes in equipping and raising other leaders and ushering in the presence of God through worship. Position Title: Worship Minister

(Full-Time, Exempt Position) 

Date: July 2024

Supervisor: Creative Minister

Purpose: To help us live into the vision of connecting people to Christ through the arts by reconnecting the arts to God to provide opportunities for people to meet Christ in the church and in the community. This is primarily carried out by creating creative and engaging environments for worship, helping provide creative opportunities for artists/technicians, equipping artists/technicians with training and resources, and by raising the theological value of the arts within the church.

 

PRIMARY CREATIVE DUTIES:

  1. Lead worship and worship teams on the Niceville Campus.

  2. Assist the Creative Minister in all details related to contemporary worship in all contemporary weekend worship services on the Niceville Campus, including making sure Planning Center is correct, and all musicians are scheduled and empowered.

   3. Lead and empower our volunteer musicians.

   4. Keep us as creative as possible, especially in weekend worship services, in order to help engage people in

       ways so that they can meet Christ and have their lives transformed. Your job is to be creative!

   5.  Recruit new musicians.

   6.  Develop and maintain a structured but inviting audition process.

   7.  Raise up the next generation of worship leaders to send out.

   8.  Song research

   9.  Coordinate events with other ministry areas and assist with other items as needed by the Crosspoint team.

  10.  Help our media team execute creative elements.

  11.  Serve as a dedicated team member of the Creative Team, Student Team, and overall Crosspoint team.

  12.  Uphold the Staff Covenant.

PRIMARY STUDENT DUTIES:

  1. Lead worship for Student Ministry worship services on the Niceville Campus.

  2. Set the rotation for leading worship in the Student Ministry worship services.

  3. Assist the Student Ministry Team in the planning and execution of all details related to contemporary

    worship in the Student Ministry worship services on the Niceville Campus, including making sure

    Planning Center is correct and all student musicians are scheduled and empowered.

  4. Assist in leading and planning worship services for Student Ministry retreats and large events.

  5. Raise up the next generation of student worship leaders, including discipling the student worship team.

  1. Develop and maintain a structured but inviting audition process for students.

  2. Responsible for the creation of the MultiTracks Playback sets for student worship services.

  3. Assist with the building of scripts in Pro Presenter for students.

SKILLS DESIRED:

  1. Dedicated follower of Jesus.

  2. Skill and experience in leading worship with click and tracks.

  3. Experience with Playback and Planning Center.

  4. Must have a theological mindset that allows discernment on evaluating songs in light of the Bible.

  5. Experience leading a band.

  6. Talented vocally and instrumentally.

  7. Strong leadership and relational skills.

  8. Strong communication skills.

  9. Ability to recruit, train and empower volunteers.

  10. Ability to work as a team and always portray the church, staff, and ministry in the most positive light in

    the church as well as in the community.

  11. Knowledge and experience with production equipment

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:

  1. Excellence in weekend worship services, evaluated by:

    1. All volunteer positions filled

    2. Limited mistakes

    3. Limited last-minute adjustments

  2. Increased amount of new volunteer artists.

  3. Volunteers believe they are empowered and equipped.

  4. Developing new worship leaders, instrumentalists, vocalists, and tech directors to be sent out to other

    campuses.

  5. Keep the service orders, songs and people planned and scheduled out at least 4-5 weeks out.

  6. Chemistry and unity within the larger staff team, and the Creative and Student Teams.

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION DESIRED:

Attend seminars, workshops and conventions appropriate to Creative Ministry as requested and approved by supervisor.
