Jr. High Director

Position: Jr. High Director (7 & 8 grade)
Organization: The Grove Church: 2777 S Gilbert Rd Chandler, AZ 85286

Overview: We are seeking a Jr. High director to oversee our Jr. High Ministry. An individual, who is a mature follower of Jesus Christ. Someone who will work well with our highly motivated staff. A dynamic person who loves working with students and will help teach God’s story, plan & create a healthy ministry, and lead events & camps.

Schedule: 30hrs/week
Regular schedule includes Tuesday - Thursday and Sunday

Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with experience 

Responsibilities:
Leadership
-Plan Sunday and Wednesday gatherings
-Build relational ministry by being with students on/off campus & consistent communication -Recruit and develop volunteers & interns to help in all aspects of the ministry
-Meet regularly with Student Ministry team to plan, assess, and evaluate ministry
-Oversee budget and ministry expenses

Retreats/Events
-Plan, coordinate & attend monthly activities
-Plan, coordinate, execute, & attend annual winter and summer camps

Speaking/Teaching
-Speak/teach at weekly gatherings -Grow in Bible teaching abilities

Grove church involvement
-Attend staff meetings
-Assist in all church events and gatherings as needed

Requirements:

• Be a team player with a “can do” attitude

• Student Ministry experience

• Self-motivated, not needing micro-management, utilizes time well

• Highly motivated to minister to and grow a college age ministry
