POSITION OVERVIEW OF THE ASSOCIATE PASTOR POSITION (Specializing in Outreach, Assimilation, and Social Media)

Believers Bible Church (BBC) is seeking an energetic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Associate Pastor. This position will focus on three key areas: Outreach, Assimilation, and Social Media. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for ministry, a giftedness in evangelism, and a deep understanding of Biblical beliefs and values.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Outreach. Develop and implement strategies to engage the local community and attract new members to the church.
  • Coordinate and lead outreach programs, including community events, service projects, and evangelistic efforts.
  • Build relationships with local organizations, community leaders, and neighboring churches to foster partnerships and collaborative initiatives.
  • Ability to work closely with the senior pastor, staff members, and elders to accomplish outreach objectives.
  1. Assimilation. Create and oversee a comprehensive assimilation process to help new members integrate into the church community.
  • Provide support and guidance to new members, helping them connect with small groups, ministries, and church activities.
  • Develop and coordinate orientation programs and resources to assist new members in understanding the church’s mission, values, and opportunities for involvement.
  1. Social Media. Develop and implement a strategic social media plan to enhance the church’s online presence and engage with the congregation and wider community.
  • Create and curate compelling content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Monitor and respond to online inquiries and comments, fostering positive and meaningful interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS

A deep personal faith in Jesus Christ and a strong commitment to Baptist theology and principles. Familiarity and agreement with our C.R.O.S.S. Strategy is recommended.

  • Ordained or licensed as a minister, with a theological degree from an accredited seminary or divinity school.
  • Proven experience in outreach and community engagement, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various social media platforms and tools for ministry purposes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey messages clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team setting with the senior pastor, additional staff, and the elders.
