Associate Pastor of Family and Youth Ministry

Position Summary

 The Associate Pastor of Family and Youth Ministry will focus on leading and expanding the

 youth and family programs at Shiloh Christian Church. This pivotal role involves developing and

 implementing strategies that engage and build the spiritual life of our young members and their

 families. The Associate Pastor will also provide pastoral care, teach, and contribute to the

 church’s leadership activities. This position requires a compassionate individual who can foster

 community and spiritual growth within and outside the church walls.

 Key Responsibilities

 ? Spearhead the youth and family ministries, creating vibrant programs that engage

 children, teenagers, and their families in spiritual growth and community involvement.

 ? Develop and oversee educational programs including Sunday School, children's church,

 and youth groups for various age ranges from nursery through high school, working with

 volunteers to ensure everything runs smoothly.

 ? Lead and participate in Sunday worship services, preaching at least once a month.

 ? Regularly lead special youth-focused ministries.

 ? Provide pastoral care to families and youth, including counseling and spiritual guidance

 during critical life moments.

 ? Conduct rites such as weddings, baptisms, and funerals, aligning with the church’s

 doctrinal standards.

 ? Actively participate in church board meetings, offering insights and strategies for church

 growth and youth engagement.

 ? Foster a nurturing environment that encourages spiritual development through

 mentorship and community service.

 ? Initiate and lead mission trips and community outreach projects, particularly those

 involving youth and family participation.

 Qualifications

 ? Demonstrated commitment to Christ and mature Christian faith, meeting the elder

 qualifications described in Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3.

 ? Proven experience in family and youth ministry, with a strong ability to connect with and

 inspire young people.

? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at conflict resolution, team

 building, and working with volunteers.

 ? Innovative and strategic thinker with a passion for developing new ministry initiatives.

 ? Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Christian Education, or a related field

 ? At least two years of relevant ministry experience is preferred, with a track record of

 effective church leadership or community-based youth programs.
