About Good News Church

A Note from the Executive Pastor:

Greetings from Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

Why would God potentially call me to Good News?

Good News Church is a special church. I realize I'm biased, but I would not make this statement to someone considering a transition for their family unless it's true.

Most people look at the location of the church (along 30a, which is arguably one of the most beautiful communities in the country) and think it would be ideal to live at the beach. However, the people are the best part of moving to the area and working at Good News.

I've served as the Executive Pastor of a 6,000-member church, and our Missions/Connections Pastor served at Life Church. We both say that this is the healthiest staff and lay leadership culture we have been a part of. We left two solid churches because we resonated with what God is going through Good News in this community. One of our new staff members ran communications at Red Rocks in Denver, and he says the same thing.

God is moving! Over the last three years, we have grown from 600 to 2,300 expected at Easter.

Wednesday nights have become our Next Gen Nights, with over 150 students. We are now staffing accordingly and need someone to be the point leader. We have two folks working as part-time Coordinators of Route 56, a new hire as the department head, and a new HS coordinator. We are looking to hire one more Student Ministry staff, a Middle School Coordinator.

The Lead Pastor has a tremendous vision for how Good News invests in this community. We are not looking to build a "brand" and have dozens of Good News Churches throughout the area. However, we plan to plant a second campus on the west side of town in several years. Our desire is to have two campuses and one ministry center in the area so we can partner with God and sow the gospel extravagantly in this community.
