NEXTGEN MINISTRY DIRECTOR
LIBERTY CHURCH
Position Overview
The NextGen Ministry Director oversees Liberty Kids and Student Ministry with the goal of leading Preschool – 12th grade students to become mature followers of Jesus Christ. The NextGen Ministry Director will be passionate about ministering to students and families, and able to train and equip an adult volunteer leadership team to assist in carrying out NextGen Ministry objectives.

NextGen Ministry Objectives
- Lead students to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Help them grow in their faith.
- Engage families in the life and discipleship of their students.
- Build community among students.
- Facilitate active participation in the Body of Christ.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- NextGen Ministry
- Lead a team of volunteers.
- Communicate God’s Word effectively to students in large and small group settings.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee discipleship strategy.
- Collaborate with families in the life and discipleship of their students.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee weekly gatherings, and special events.
- Manage a budget responsibly.
- Develop social media and website content pertaining to NextGen Ministry.
- Adult Leadership Team
- Recruit and develop an adult volunteer leadership team.
- Empower the adult leadership team to accomplish NextGen Ministry objectives.
- Church & Pastoral Team Involvement
- Actively participate in the life and ministry of the Liberty Church body.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and work closely with Liberty’s pastoral staff to help fulfill the Liberty Church mission: Lead People to New Life In Christ & Together Discover the Joy of – Community, Ministry, Generosity & Family.
- Champion NextGen Ministry to the church body through updates, testimonies, and pictures.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate consistent Christian character
- Teachable
- Team builder
- Excellent written and verbal skills in multiple contexts, both with students and parents.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or in process
- Ministry Experience
- Working with children, youth and adults
- Building teams
