Youth Pastor

About This Role

The three main objectives of the Youth Pastor are to partner with the parents, pastor the students, and be present in the community. The Youth Pastor equips parents/guardians to disciple their children, while introducing young people to Christ, discipling them in spiritual growth, and equipping them to serve Christ.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks of the Youth Pastor:

1. Recruit, train, and shepherd all youth ministry volunteers.
2. Plan and execute services for students that are biblically accurate, culturally relevant, and high-energy.
3. Create and manage a youth ministry calendar that drives all events, activities, and teaching within the ministry.
4. Integrate the mission and vision of Faithbridge Church into the youth ministry goals and activities.
5. Facilitate periodic outreaches to local high schools, with occasional visits that engage students at the school.
6. Educate, encourage, and facilitate student participation in church-wide community outreach initiatives.
7. Assist in developing the annual youth ministry budget and responsible stewardship of the budget.
8. Maintain contact with students and parents to keep them informed of events and activities and maintain a ministry strategy that encourages involvement.
9. Provide spiritual direction and Biblical advice to students on a regular, individual basis.
10. Collaborate with other pastoral staff to support parents in effectively fulfilling their Christian parenting roles and duties.
11. Other duties as assigned.

4. A self-motivated leader capable of creating and executing a long-term vision.
5. Strong strategic planning and administrative skills.
6. Excellent relational skills to communicate with students and parents.
7. A working knowledge of creative programming for student programs and events.
8. Minimum 2 years experience leading/pastoring a youth group.

This position reports to the Lead Pastor.

This position is a part of the Leadership Team.
