About First Presbyterian Evangelical Church

First Presbyterian Evangelical Church is part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC).  We have a rich history of ministry that began back in 1856 to the community of Montezuma Iowa.  Over these years our church has been blessed with pastors who led us in a vision of how to reach our community for Jesus Christ.

We exist to glorify God and our mission is to know Jesus and make Jesus known.  The vision of the church is build disciples who  are growing in Christ and are being challenged to lead others to a growing relationship with Christ.  We do this through small group discipleship,  children and youth programs that include a community outreach to over 70 elementary aged children after school during the school year, worship services that incorporate a variety of musical forms of worship, praise and prayer.  We also have a strong desire to continue our growth in God's word by the preaching of God's word and the teaching that takes place in various Bible studies.
