The Heights in Spanish Pastor will provide leadership and pastoral oversight in collaboration with the current staff of HIS in the day to day operations of the Heights in Spanish, supervision of lay leadership, and collaboration with the Heights at large Staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and implement preaching for HIS
Plan and assign the preaching calendar in collaboration with the associate pastor of HIS, quarterly
Prepare and preach weekly sermons
Assign preaching dates for guest speakers and associate pastor
Evaluate and revise sermons weekly in collaboration with associate pastor and lay leader
Plan and develop weekly HIS Sunday Services
In collaboration with the HIS Worship Director, plan and carry out weekly worship services (Planning Center, sermon slides, songs, etc.)
In collaboration with the HIS Worship Director evaluate and correct weekly worship services
Keep in mind the major calendar events and special events (Easter, Christmas, Mother's Day, Hispanic Heritage, etc.)
Prepare and monitor the assigned budget of HIS
Plan and allocate budget for each ministry and administrative area of HIS at the beginning of each fiscal year
Monitor monthly balances with HIS Administrative Assistant
Make the necessary adjustments every quarter of the year so as not to exceed the established Budget
Provide leadership and supervision for HIS staff
Monthly coaching meetings with HIS Associate Pastor, HIS Worship & Media Director and Administrative Assistant.
Work with calendar of activities and internal communication
Assign and supervise assigned tasks in each HIS staff area
Provide leadership and supervision for HIS volunteer directors
Monthly meetings with lay leadership: Life Groups, Congregational Care, Welcome and Connection, Men, Women, Equipping Center.
Communication and conflict resolution
Lead, train and equip keeping the volunteer team well informed and united
Provide congregational pastoral care
In collaboration with the general pastoral team, visit and shepherd the congregation
Weekly visit to hospitals
Biblical Counseling as needed
Ensure Accurate, Timely Response to Communication Requests (Phone or Email)
Manage email, voicemail, and communication requests in a timely, thorough manner not to exceed 1 week
Build trust by maintaining confidence of information
Respond to all communication with professionalism, discretion, and a service orientation
Serve as a Fantastic Teammate to Peers on the Staff Team

RELATIONSHIPS
Executive Pastor of Operations: The HIS Pastor reports directly to the Executive Pastor of Operations first and foremost. He is expected to be coachable, available, and responsive to him while striving for a healthy, Christ-like relationship characterized by love, truth, and unity.
Pastoral Staff: The HIS Pastor collaborates with other members of the Pastoral Staff, serves as a resource and encouragement to them, and partners with them effectively to achieve maximum kingdom impact.
HIS Associate Pastor: The HIS Pastor embodies and exhibits servant leadership in all interactions with His Associate Pastor, envisioning, equipping, and empowering him to make the greatest kingdom impact possible.
HIS Worship and Media Director: The HIS Pastor embodies and exhibits servant leadership in all interactions with HIS Worship and Media Director, envisioning, equipping, and empowering him to make the greatest kingdom impact possible.

The Heights is mega-church with a passion to see people make disciples by taking personal risks to bring the gospel to every relationship. While we have established leadership and an incredibly warm/friendly atmosphere, we long to continue to find new ways to reach people and help them become who God called them to be. We have a dynamic strategy to reach our local community for the gospel. Our community is very diverse we are church that is positioned to be a great light to our community.
