Calvary Baptist Church is a looking for a Youth Pastor who is energetic and passionate leader that will oversee our Student Ministry (grades 6-12). The Student Pastor will provide leadership through teaching, student engagement, and parent interaction. The Student Pastor will lead a Gospel- focused ministry that reinforces our mission to lead our community to follow Jesus. This candidate will have all the resources they need to establish and develop a thriving youth group. We are looking for someone to come grow with us.
Calvary Baptist church is a vibrant and growing community in one of the fastest growing counties in Texas with unlimited growth potential. We have recently built and moved into a new 10,000 sq ft facility and are in the process of renovating a 6,000sq ft facility for our youth group and family life. We have seen growth every year in the past 6 years in: salvations, baptisms, and attendance. Work hours will vary between 20-40 hours per week. If the candidate is still in college/seminary we will be respectful of the time they need to be in class and study.
The Central Task:
Lead the Calvary youth to learn and act upon Biblical knowledge they have gained and encourage them to develop their own personal walks with Christ.
The Student Pastor will:
Plan, develop, and implement all aspects of a balanced youth ministry.
Grow the youth ministry by creating attractive and compelling environments to which our youth can invite their friends.
Disciple the teens into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in both large group and smaller relational environments.
Teach, or coordinate others teaching, for all Sunday and mid-week youth group classes.
Equip the youth group to share the Gospel with their friends.
Create and plan activities and events to spend time with the students and their friends.
Actively be involved in mentoring and shaping the next generation in worship.
Be personally proactive in outreach to students and student’s families.
Qualifications:
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him.
An unbridled passion to lead the next generation to Jesus.
Must be willing to join Calvary Baptist Church for this position.
Must be a born again, baptized believer.
Commitment to moral purity and be willing to sign the moral purity statement.
Must be willing to undergo a mandatory background check and sign a leadership covenant.
Commitment to the mission and vision of Calvary.
Excellent people, leadership, and organizational skills.
