Job Description:

Church Technical Director

Summary: Lead and inspire a volunteer team to deliver exceptional technical support for worship services and
church events.

Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week
Salary Estimate: Commensurate with experience
Reports to: Church Administrator

Responsibilities:

Oversee all technical and creative production for weekend services, ensuring a high-quality and engaging experience.
Lead, manage, and train a team of volunteers in audio/visual/lighting (AVL) systems.
Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and Worship Pastor/Team to support the vision for the church's Sunday morning ministry.
Stay current with emerging technologies to optimize AVL and other technical capabilities at GI Free.
Repair and maintain AVL equipment and supplies.
Create and edit video content as needed to support various church ministries
Implement and improve communication protocols within the AVL team and with church staff.
Oversee and provide support for all technical and creative production needs for mid-week activities at GI Free.
Work with the GI Free Tech Team to coordinate IT Technical Support for the staff and ministries of GI Free, including networking, software support, and computer hardware.
Collaborate with the Church Administrator and Communications & Graphic Design Coordinator to maintain the GI Free website, social media accounts, and other promotional media as needed.
Various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage conflict effectively.
Experience in live production and AVL systems (audio, video, lighting) preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Sound, Lighting, Technology) or equivalent experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
A willingness and desire to learn and grow.
Passion for serving the Church.

Maintain a life of personal and spiritual development and accountability.
