YOUTH DIRECTOR JOB POSTING

Christ the King Church is seeking a highly motivated, experienced evangelical Christian candidate called to share Christ with young people to serve as Youth Director. The start date will be in August or early September.

Location:  Approximately 20 miles south of Portland, Canby is in the Willamette Valley along Highway 99E between the I-5 and I-205 freeways.

The Qualifications:

The candidate must have the experience, skills, and abilities to lead and grow a vibrant, Christ-centered youth program, including recruiting and overseeing volunteers.

Christ the King Church seeks a Youth Director who:

• aligns with its doctrinal statement,
• is committed to its mission: To know God more and make Him known to more people,
• has been changed by God’s grace and willingly extends it to others,
• is willing to be a part of the CTK community, systems, and culture,
• fulfills the requirements for spiritual leadership outlined in I Timothy 3:1-7 & Titus 1:5-9,
• is an effective and inclusive leader and communicator, and
• has the heart of an evangelist

Salary: $50,000 a year/Room depending on experience with flexible hours and paid time off

Requirements:

• Minimum educational requirement: Bachelor’s degree
• Candidates without a degree may apply if they have significant experience, a clear call, and a willingness to learn.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Youth Director, who reports to the Lead Pastor, will be a spiritual, relational, and organizational leader who develops and shepherds a broad range of youth ministries. As the Youth Director at Christ the King Church, you will work alongside the Lead Pastor and other church staff to plan weekly ministries and special youth events to further the mission of Christ the King.

General

• Participate in all weekend services and ministries
• Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings 
• Possible opportunities to preach on occasion at weekend services  
• Help plan and participate in all-church events 

Youth

• Have overall responsibility for youth ministries
• Develop leaders by mentoring the student and adult ministry team
• Teach and lead a mid-week youth gathering for junior high/high school 
• Attend on-campus Christian clubs when possible
• Plan events for youth, including camps and retreats 
• Create a culture of evangelism and discipleship for youth
