Job Description:

Essential Senior Pastor Duties:

  • Ensure the church stays on mission (with the Elder Board) and is working on specific goals to fulfill the church’s ministry vision
  • Provide spiritual leadership to the church
  • Preach the gospel faithfully while providing the primary preaching presence
  • Serve as an Elder
  • Design a member care system utilizing elders, staff, and LifeGroup leaders.
  • Organize and develop the church’s strengths for optimal Kingdom impact
  • Model and maintain a life of prayer, worship, discipleship, personal evangelism and mission involvement
  • Serve as chief administrator of the church and church staff in accordance with the constitution and by-laws
  • Schedule and lead regular staff meetings and occasional leadership retreats
  • Conduct annual performance reviews of all paid staff members
