Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Kids Minister to join our team. This individual will assist in overseeing and expanding our dynamic children’s ministry, providing spiritual guidance, volunteer support, and engaging activities for children from birth through sixth grade. The ideal candidate will have a heart for children, a strong commitment to their spiritual development, and the ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, staff, and families.

 

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Kids Minister in developing and implementing a comprehensive children’s ministry program.
- Plan and coordinate Sunday school classes, children’s church services, midweek programs, and special events, primarily focusing on 5th & 6th grade ministry. 
- Recruit, train, and support a team of volunteers to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
- Create and manage engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities that foster spiritual growth and Biblical understanding.
- Build relationships with children and their families, providing pastoral care and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other church ministries to integrate children’s programs with the overall mission and vision of the church.
- Assist in administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and communication with parents and volunteers.

 

Qualifications:
- A deep and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Previous experience in children’s ministry or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Creativity and a passion for engaging children in their faith journey.
- A degree in Children’s Ministry, Christian Education, or a related field is a plus.
- Must pass a background check.
