Position: Executive Pastor of Operations

Hours: Full-Time (40 hours week)

The Church

The Bridge is a 1250+ person church that launched in August 2020.  We long to see a gospel movement that reaches every person in the Hill Country and is carried to the ends of the earth.  Our approach is simple: love people and faithfully preach God’s word.  In 3.5 years we have experienced rapid growth and our team is expanding. In 2023, we purchased 18 acres of land and are expecting to break ground on our new building by the end of 2024.  

 

The Role

We are looking for an Executive Pastor of Operations that is passionate about making disciples that celebrate the gospel in worship, apply the gospel in community and extend the gospel on mission. They will be a proactive, experienced leader who sets vision and builds great teams.  They will ensure the mission and vision of The Bridge are going forward by directing and overseeing healthy systems and structures of financial operations, leadership development, human resources and facility management.

The Right Person

Confident, self-starter and a team builder. Able to work independently, and as a team member, while using discretion in decision-making and sound judgment in problem solving. Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (verbal and written). 5+ years of experience working in ministry and leading staff. Committed to the vision and mission of the church. Lives a lifestyle congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders. 

 

Core Responsibilities

 

Leadership

  • Carry the culture to the staff and congregation.
  • Primary ownership of Strategic Operations process, including the championing of 4DX process, oversight of church-wide project management, key organizational processes, such as calendar planning and supporting communication.
  • Direct the hiring of staff and the formal procedure in dismissing or repositioning of staff.
  • Work with the Leadership Team to set and track specific, measurable goals to ensure that the vision is being accomplished.
  • Responsible to ensure the ministries of the church have the resources needed to carry out the vision.
  • Monitor the implementation and execution of church policies, including the personnel policy and child safety policy.
  • Assist Lead Pastor in facilitating All Staff Meetings and ensure staff moral is continually healthy.

 

Business and Financial Operations

  • Primary oversight of all Bridge Fellowship Operations (Admin, Creative, IT, HR, Accounting, Expansion/Building Projects, Facilities, Set-up / Tear-down Team, Safety Team, Missions).
  • Direct and oversee the financial operations of the church in coordination with the Elders and Leadership Team
  • Direct and oversee the financial reports for Elders and ministry leads..

 

Facilities and Safety Management

  • Responsible for the buildings, grounds, and equipment/furnishings and ensure their proper care in order to create a safe and inviting environment.
  • Direct and supervise the building maintenance, custodial, and security personnel
  • Ensure compliance with applicable fire and safety codes and take all reasonable efforts to enhance the safety and security of the buildings and grounds
  • Establish and implement an asset management plan to anticipate and prepare for capital equipment repair and/or replacement
  • Supervise the assignment of classrooms and meeting spaces with staff and outside groups, with attention given to efficient utilization of the building, and ensure proper set-up for events
  • Assist in evaluating and obtaining appropriate insurance coverage and policies
