Our Streamwood Campus is seeking someone with a passion for Jesus and a passion for the next generation. The ideal candidate for this full-time campus role will be a relational shepherding pastor with significant leadership skills. This person will serve as the leader and pastor of our Huntley Campus children’s and student ministries. They will be responsible for the overall spiritual health and success of the campus children’s, middle school, and high school ministries. Their passion for their ministry areas will significantly be exhibited through the recruiting, leading, and training of a strong volunteer base to help execute the ministry requirements. As a vital part of the campus pastoral team, this person needs to have a shepherd’s heart and be able to help people walk through difficult situations with spiritual maturity and compassion.
Together with the One Church Next Generation staff, they will work to develop and implement a strategy for the evangelism and ongoing discipleship of all children and students within the ministry. Beginning with a group of six families in 1984, Christ Community Church has grown to over 5000 weekend attenders, including our DeKalb Campus in DeKalb County, Aurora Campus in southern Kane County, Streamwood Campus in Cook County, and most recently, the Huntley Campus in McHenry County. A significant focus on reaching spiritually lost people has resulted in over 200 new believers being baptized each year. Christ Community had humble beginnings with services held in a rented movie theater. Weekly activities now take place in our 100,000 square foot St. Charles Campus with weekend celebration services held in our 2000 seat auditorium.
