Mission

Lead People into an Encounter with Jesus and onto their Purpose.

Job Title: Worship Pastor

Summary of Position: Support the Mission of BTC through fostering a culture of Pursuit of God’s Presence during corporate gatherings, pastoring, training and discipling those on the worship team, attending key BTC events, and helping with Sunday morning roles as needed.

Competencies

  1. Culture- Agrees with and is growing in the Mission, Purpose and Values of BTCC.
  2. Leading Groups- Able to create small groups where laughter, prayer, and outreach are normal.
  3. Events- Able to lead and organize an event (worship nights, community building, and outreach events.)
  4. Worship Leader- Able to lead a worship team and church congregation into worship, recognizing that people come from a wide variety of experiences in God and life. Able to teach others how to flow with the Holy Spirit as a worship team on a Sunday morning and flow with the Lead Pastor on the flow of service.
  5. Musicianship- Able to give direction and teaching to a band and individuals regarding technical and musical aspects of a set.
  6. Technical- Able to work with Microsoft programs (word, excel), ProPresenter, planning center apps (Services, music stand, people) and Canva.
  7. Communication- Honest and honoring conversation with a wide variety of personalities of people, able to collaborate with Lead Pastor….

Responsibilities

  1. Lead or delegate worship leading for corporate gatherings.
  2. Weekly worship team practice both musical and growing how to Host God’s Presence.
  3. Grow Worship/Tech Team members in competence, leadership and numbers of members.
  4. Take care of technical aspects of the service by Thursday of each week (audio, visual, video, live stream, and Pro-presenter)
  5. Lead & Support Worship Events and Outreach Events (can be in collaboration with Lead Pastor)
  6. Foster Community and Discipleship with worship/tech team (could be weekly small group, jam nights or hangouts,)
  7. Administration- Set worship songs for quarter in collaboration with lead pastor and set worship/tech schedule monthly.
  8. Weekly Staff Meetings
  9. Involved in Building Pursuit, our weekly night of worship and intercession.
  10. On-Call Pastoral Care

Depending on experience and skill pay is negotiable
