About Red Cedar Church

Red Cedar Church is a suburban, evangelical church located in the capital city region of Michigan, near Michigan State University. We are affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America. Our vision is to be a Christ-centered community for the purpose of mission. Red Cedar is an intergenerational congregation of over 150 adults and 50 children, blessed with a mature and unified leadership team of elders (men) and deacons (men and women). Small group participation is integral to our experience of community. We affirm the principle of unity in the essentials and dialogue in the differences. Our part-time staff includes an administrator, assistant administrator, worship leader, and biblical counselor. Red Cedar’s congregation is well-known for friendliness. Our body gives generously and joyfully as evidenced by our budget and generous support of multiple local and international ministries. In 2024 we are completing a major remodeling of our sanctuary and the addition of a community “café” room. In 2025 we will celebrate 50 years of gospel faithfulness.
