Director of Worship and Arts

The River Community Church in Dalton, Georgia has a mission to make disciples who disciple the next generation. Our vision is to be an intergenerational community where faith and family come together. At the heart of our mission and vision is a relationship with Jesus Christ. We are looking for a Director of Worship and Arts to come help us accomplish this vision. This person will be responsible for cultivating worship services and Worship and Tech teams that shifts the congregation's worship from us toward God. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Overseeing and leading the worship team and building teams along the way
- Overseeing worship at in our adult worship space and running rehearsals
- Working alongside the Pastoral staff to set the vision for worship
- Inviting and empowering others to be a part of the Worship and Tech teams

SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE:
- A demonstrated track record of spiritual maturity and character consistent with the biblical requirements for leadership
- Experience working in a leadership role in a church with a track record of leading teams through healthy ministry growth and progress
- Strategic in nature, with the ability to see and implement the steps that it takes to get from here to there
- Self-motivated, without the need for micromanagement

THE AREA/CHURCH
Dalton is a wonderful city in North Georgia. It is also only 30 minutes from Chattanooga. The community is family oriented and very intergenerational in nature. Our church is Wesleyan in our theology; however, we are currently a non-denominational community of faith. While our church plant is only 1 year old, we are a gorwing congregation that averages 300-350 in worship with a robust children's ministry as well. We are in the early stages of a capital campaign to obtain land and build a facility.
