Youth & Young Adults Pastor 

Gateway Church is seeking an experienced, full-time Youth and Young Adults Pastor for our growing, nondenominational, multigenerational church in Fort Myers, Florida. The Youth and Young Adults Pastor will oversee all aspects of Youth and Young Adults Ministries (6th grade-12th grade and 18- 25 years). They must model Christ-like character and see their work as essential to discipling our community. The Youth and Young Adults Pastor will help fulfill the church’s vision to “Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples” across our ministries. He will seek to bring unity and alignment across the various ministries of the church. He will lead our amazing team of volunteers in making disciples of the next generation and will recruit, equip, and schedule volunteers to meet the various needs of the ministries.

At Gateway Church, everyone feels like family! Our church is experiencing great growth, and we are looking for a pastor who can help lead our youth and young adults in this season of growth while maintaining a strong sense of relational community.

Qualifications:

• A mature relationship with Jesus Christ that is clearly exhibited in their life
• Experience in Youth, Young Adult, or Family Ministries
• Ministry schooling preferred
• Leadership skills
• Passion for discipleship
• Highly engaged in church community
• Strong relational abilities
• Self-motivated
• Strong organizational skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pastor of Youth and Young Adults Ministries
• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of Youth and Young Adults ministries
• Recruit, train, and equip the congregation to serve in family ministries
• Schedule volunteers
• Oversee weekly gatherings
• Youth Group: Sunday evenings
• Young Adults: Currently meeting Tuesday nights
• Create a presence in the community by building relationships with local middle and high school leadership, leading campus clubs, outreach, etc.
• Develop relationships with parents and empower them in discipleship
• Plan events for Youth ministry (camps, mission trips, discipleship weekends, etc.)
• Attend weekly staff meetings
• Assist in various team-wide activities (fall festival, outreach events, etc.)
