POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate Pastor of Ministries plays a critical role at The Becoming Church, offering oversight and leadership to all ministry-focused areas. This individual is tasked with the interaction, evaluation, and development of the organization’s ministry efforts, ensuring they align with the church’s mission and values. The ideal candidate will be a gifted problem solver with high people skills, capable of making strategic decisions and fostering a culture of growth and empowerment within the church.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Must be hungry, humble, and have hustle.
• Highly inspired initiator and self-starter.
• Think fast and act quick.
• Drama free, please!
• Flexible, driven, goal-oriented and gets it done early.
• Must think systems and scale.
• Gatherer of people.
• 5+ years’ experience leading at a high-level.
• Bachelor’s ministry degree preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide direction and oversight to all ministry departments and staff, ensuring cohesive and effective operation.
• Supervise four to six direct reports, guiding culture, development, and leadership within the ministry teams.
• Responsible for ensuring staff members alignment with the church’s vision and values.
• Provide oversight to Next Gen (through young adults), Next Steps, Belong Groups, Campus Support, and Outreach departments, ensuring these ministries are thriving and effectively reaching their intended audiences.
• Oversee organizational development, ensuring systems and processes are optimized for ministry effectiveness.
• Lead and develop leadership within the church, empowering staff, and Serve Team to achieve their full potential in ministry.
• Prepared to preach on Sunday mornings.

As one of the fastest growing cities in the Southeastern USA, Huntsville can aptly be described as unexpected. Huntsville seamlessly marries the rich history of southern hospitality with innovative high-tech ventures and cultural diversity. In fact, more than 100 languages and dialects are spoken in the city. A sense of curiosity and exploration has been rooted in the city’s foundation. In fact, the first American satellite was sent into orbit from the city in 1958.
