Impact Church, one of the fastest growing churches in Arizona is seeking a full time groups director/pastor who will be responsible for pastoring, caring, and developing spiritual formation to our church, community, and city. We expect the candidate to have a growing, personal relationship with Christ, and a big heart for people. This individual should possess good communication skills, an ability to think outside of the box, be able to work as both a team player and leader, develop leaders, lead a team, and have efficient organizational skills. Groups Director/Pastor
Purpose:
To serve as the groups director/pastor of Impact Church; to lead, plan, and participate in services, groups, and programed events that reflect the core values and vision of Impact Church; in collaboration with the Lead Pastor and Executive Team empower a team of staff/volunteer leaders to minister, through discipleship groups, to Impact and the greater Scottsdale community.

Help our people grow in their faith with God through small groups and bible study

Possess the ability to teach/model how Scripture informs our lives and how we live
Exhibit effective organizational planning and timely follow-through
Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others
Ability to lead and manage a staff effectively
Responsibilities:
Develop thriving small groups that engage all walks of life
Develop effective congregational weekly bible studies for Impact
Lead and facilitate other weekly group discipleship
Find and recruit volunteers to train and equip
Regularly evaluate the health of Impact’s groups
Lead the way in making a big church feel small
Occasionally preach when lead pastor calls upon
Participate in all church wide activities including services, events, conferences, gatherings, etc.
Submit to the vision of the Lead Pastor and the direction of Impact Church
Preferred Experience:
Church staff 5+ years
Experience preaching/teaching
Leading a team
Multi-site ministry
Leadership development
Seminary/Bible School education a plus
