Hill City Church launched on Easter Sunday, 2023. We are one of five churches in the Oak Pointe Family of Churches.
As a church, we exist to reach Farmington, Farmington Hills, Livonia, Redford, Southfield, and the surrounding communities as we seek to shine the light of the gospel like a city on a hill that cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14).
We believe that to be an apprentice of Jesus is to order your life around three goals:
1. Be with Jesus
2. Become like Jesus
3. Do what Jesus did
Our dream is that as we live this way, our lives, our communities, and our city, will be transformed.
It is our desire to see these goals lived out in the life of our church. We do this by inviting people to become fully formed followers of Jesus, in real relationships with others, as they are physically present in their city. We believe that this is how the early church reached the world and this is how we will reach the world as well.
We believe the Church is not a building or a weekend activity, but a people. We want to live out the Gospel in our community throughout the week, and then gather each weekend as a collection of communities. Our prayer is as Jesus prayed, that God’s will would be done in Farmington Hills as it is in Heaven and that Hill City would help people know Jesus and make Him known.
