Job Summary

The Kid’s Director is a unique role that will be responsible for the spiritual leadership of the Becoming Kids ministry. The Kid’s Director will develop, lead, and maintain all Kid Ministry discipleship programs, building meaningful relationships with children and parents that cultivate a relationship with Jesus.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Must be hungry, humble, and have hustle.
• Highly inspired initiator and self-starter.
• Think fast and act quick.
• Drama free, please!
• Flexible, driven, goal-oriented and gets it done early.
• Must think systems and scale.
• Gatherer of people.
• Experience in leading in a high-level.
• Bachelor’s ministry degree or ministerial training preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead children and their families to follow Jesus.
• Invite, train, and empower volunteers and maintain a monthly volunteer schedule.
• Follow up with people who are interested in volunteering with kid’s ministry.
• Lead creative team meetings with the appropriate people to implement the curriculum on Sunday mornings.
• Develop or select a strategic curriculum to engage Biblical literacy and the spiritual development of a child from nursery through elementary school.
• Oversee communication between the church, children, and families.
• Provide resources for parents and families as needed.
• Oversee the setup and operation of all related kid’s ministry environments on Sunday morning.
• Oversee the Kids’ Ministry budget, and plan select special events as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and other meetings as scheduled.
• Partner with the church for marketing efforts designed to notify students and families of ministries and events within the church.
• Facilitate or provide a spiritual training program to train teachers on how to cultivate spiritual relationships and present the Gospel.
• Utilize and maintain resources to meet the spiritual needs of the kid’s ministry.
• Develop a discipleship program for middle school students.
