Job Description:

Overview:

Anacortes Christ the King Church is searching for a Youth Pastor to usher in a new season ministry at CTK. We are a growing church primed to minister to a growing number of students within our church community and the one thousand plus students in the broader community of Anacortes. CTK is committed to living out our identity as God’s children made to be His image bearers to glorify Him and bless others. In all things we strive to “be entirely His”. To follow Jesus daily by being with Him, that we might become like Him and do what He did. We are looking for a shepherd to make strategic, intentional, and relational spaces for students to encounter the Truth, the Way and the Life of the living Jesus so that they may become lifelong disciples.

We envision a ministry that doesn’t merely strive to do ministry for students but strives to do ministry with students raising young people up to know Jesus, walk with Jesus and engage in the life of the church outside youth ministry through prayer, worship, service and exploration of spiritual giftings.

We currently have well over one hundred kids (babies to fifth graders) and feel passionate about all of them growing up into vibrant middle school and high school ministry experiences and more importantly into a vital relationship with Jesus and His church, so this Youth Pastor will work closely with our current Children's Pastor to develop a holistic spiritual formation ministry model to raise up students to spiritual maturity seeking critical points of overlap in all stages of development while they are under our care and available to us from birth to graduation.
