WHO WE ARE
Washington Heights Baptist Church is a multigenerational, independent Baptist church founded in 1957. We have been blessed in the past 60+ years to have had only four lead pastors with our current lead pastor having served with us for 28 years. We are part of the Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches, which is an affiliation of independent, autonomous Baptist churches who desire likeminded fellowship. Our average Sunday morning attendance is approximately 350 adults and children.
OUR COMMUNITY
WHBC is in Centerville/Kettering, Ohio, an affordable, family friendly area with a population of approximately 80,000. The greater Dayton area boasts rich historical roots, world-class museums, an abundance of outdoor activities, and a reasonable, 90-minute drive from three large cities (Cincinnati, Columbus, and Indianapolis) with major college and professional sports teams.
Established in 1957, we are an independent Baptist Church with a multigenerational congregation that seeks to take the good news of the gospel to all those who need to hear it: across the street or around the world. We want to provide a place for you no matter what your need may be; a place to worship and learn in our Celebration Services, a place to connect in our Adult Bible Fellowships, and a place to serve in our variety of ministries. Our mission is to glorify God and live as a family of Christian believers devoted to Christ's mission of salvation in our community and worldwide with a growing love for God, the Bible, and our neighbors everywhere.
